Hello and welcome to the website of Arty Crafty, a course about creative skills
and artistic techniques held at the Patrician Academy in Mallow.

Arty Crafty is:

  • Nurturing love of creativity and appreciating the world around us
  • Learning and demonstrating art techniques
  • Exploring creativity through different materials and media
  • Designing original artwork of our own
  • Learning about the greatest artists and their styles
  • Developing confidence in our own creative abilities

Arty Crafty is for

  • Primary school children
  • Secondary school students
  • Students preparing for college (portfolio work)

Secondary School Classes

The secondary school classes are geared towards acquiring the Junior or Leaving Certificate. Students are given a broad range of skills through their art projects and encouraged to develop their creativity and foster a sense of design.

Regina has assisted students with their Portfolios which are prerequisites to attend the various art colleges such as the National College of Art and Design, CIT and LIT among others throughout the country. She has assisted students in the areas of architecture as well as the various product design fields.

Adults have also had the opportunity to benefit from Regina‘s skills and tutoring. She offers individual and group sessions where inspiration, direction and feedback are given to the aspiring artists.
For the last number of years Regina has been teaching in the Patrician Academy, Mallow. During these years she has taught teenagers of all abilities. In 2010-2011 she did her Masters in Art Education which focused on children with special needs.

 

 

 

Arty Crafty Camp

Regina has been teaching for over thirty years and every July, she has run an Arty Crafty Camp for students from primary schools between the ages of six to fourteen. The camp is an opportunity to learn in a fun environment, with a great emphasis on skills and techniques!
